Analytics Page
On your Spenmo dashboard, scroll down on your sidebar and click ‘Analytics’.
On the Analytics page, you will find your company’s Spending Trends, Categories, Merchants, and Budgets.
As a Company Admin, you can view all of your company’s data on your dashboard. As a Budget Manager, you can only view data specific to your Budgets. This article will explore features from the viewpoint of a Company Admin.
At the top of the dashboard, you can filter data based on different time periods such as 30 days, 3 months, or 12 months. This allows you to view expenses and spending trends within the selected period.
By clicking ‘Others’, you can filter data based on Month to Date, Quarter to Date, or Year to Date.
By clicking ‘More Filters’, you can filter according to Team or Type. The following Types are supported: Cards, Bills, Reimbursements and Fees.
Spending Trend
The Spending Trend line chart displays the spending patterns of your company or team over the selected period, which can help you easily identify months or days with higher or lower levels of spending.
By selecting a date on the chart, you can access and review all the transactions made on that particular date. For example, clicking “15 Aug 2023” on the chart will lead to the Transactions page, where all transactions made on that day will be shown.
Categories
The Categories chart will display Categories based on the tags that you have set up in your settings. Through the chart, you will be able to see the different Categories of your company’s expenditure.
To view the percentage a Category contributes to the total expenditure, hover over the specific Category. By hovering over a specific Category, you can view the percentage it contributes to the total expenditure. This feature also allows you to track variations between current and past spending.
Hovering over “Tools” in the above chart reveals that it makes up 26% of total expenditure. Additionally, you can see that spending on “Tools” decreased by 1.2% as compared to the previous period.
By clicking a Category on the chart, you can access and review all the transactions made in that specific Category. Clicking “Tools” on the chart will lead to the Transactions page, where all transactions under the “Tools” Category will be shown.
Merchants
The Merchants feature provides a comprehensive overview of your company’s current spending with different Merchants, along with the ability to track spending changes over time.
In the table, you can see that the company has spent $15,000 on Figma. Additionally, you can observe that spending on Figma has increased by 1.2% as compared to the previous period.
By clicking a Merchant on the chart, you can access and review all the transactions made on that specific Merchant. Clicking “Figma” on the table will lead to the Transactions, where all transactions under the “Figma” Merchant will be shown.
Budgets
The Budgets view on your dashboard gives you a clear snapshot of your Company’s Budgets. It also allows you to compare current and past spending with ease.
Do take note that if you are a Company Admin, you would be able to view all of the team’s Budgets on your dashboard. If you are a Team Manager, only your team’s Budgets would appear on your dashboard.
Budgets will be displayed from highest to lowest expenditure. In the table, the “Marketing” Budget is displayed first as it has the highest total spend. You can also observe that expenditure for the “Marketing” Budget increased by 2.2% compared to the previous period.
You can view all the transactions under a specific Budget. By clicking on “Marketing” in the above table, you will be redirected to the Transactions page, where you can conveniently view all transactions specific to that Budget.
