Spenmo supports invoice payments to merchants who provide an AliPay account for payment collection. Do take note that merchants will have to provide their AliPay registered phone numbers to receive their payment.
1. On your Spenmo dashboard, click ‘Bill Payments’.
2. To upload your invoice payment, you can either attach your invoice or fill in the bill payment form. Read on for step-by-step instructions for each option.
Attaching your invoice
1. To upload your invoice payment through invoice attachment, click ‘Attach invoice’.
2. Select the respective invoice from your files and click ‘Open’.
3. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Drafts’ page, where details from your invoice will automatically be analysed to populate the bill payment form.
4. After the analysis is completed, click on the respective invoice.
5. You will be taken to the Payment Details page.
6. Under ‘Recipient Country and Currency’, select ‘China’.
7. Under Recipient Bank, select ‘ALIPAY’.
The SWIFT/BIC Code will automatically be generated.
8. You can either pay merchants with their
(a) registered AliPay phone number or
(b) registered AliPay email address
Read on for step-by-step instructions for each option.
(a) Paying merchants with their registered AliPay phone number
Fill the ‘Recipient Bank Account Number’ field with the merchant’s registered AliPay phone number. Do exclude the country code in the phone number.
Scroll down and tick ‘Add categorisation and notes’.
Under ‘Notes’, state that the AliPay account is registered with the phone number. This will facilitate a faster processing time for your invoice.
b) Paying merchants with their registered AliPay email address
Fill the ‘Recipient Bank Account Number’ field with the merchant’s registered AliPay phone number. Do exclude the country code in the phone number.
Fill the ‘Recipient Email’ with their email address.
Scroll down and tick ‘Add categorisation and notes’.
Under ‘Notes’, state that the AliPay account is registered with the email address. This will facilitate a faster processing time for your invoice.
10. Fill in your remaining payment details. Once you have filled in the respective fields, click ‘Preview Payment Details’.
11. You can review your invoice payment in the ‘Preview’ pop-up.
After review, click ‘Submit for Approval’.
12. Your bill payment will be submitted for approval.
Filling out the Bill Payment form
1. To upload your invoice through the bill payment form, click ‘Fill in a bill payment form’.
2. You will be taken to the ‘Payment Details’ page.
3. Click ‘Recipients’ and select ‘+ New Recipient’.
4. Under ‘Recipient Country and Currency’, select ‘China’.
5. Under Recipient Bank, select ‘ALIPAY’.

9. You can review your invoice payment in the ‘Preview’ pop-up.
After review, click ‘Submit for Approval’.
10. Your bill payment will be submitted for approval.
