This article will serve as a guide on how to export transactions from Spenmo using Custom CSV and importing it into Jurnal.
Setup
In order to get the best results with Custom CSV, it is recommended that you adopt the following setup:
Chart of Accounts
Ensure that you have created Categories for each Expense account in Jurnal and that the Account Code set in Spenmo is the same as the Account Code set in Jurnal.
Tax (GST)
Ensure that you have created Tax Name and Tax Rate in Spenmo. You can also set default Tax on your categories so that a tax rate is auto-attached to a transaction under a specific category.
Transactions
Ensure that all your transaction details are correctly filled with the necessary information (Category, Tax, Vendor, Notes, etc.) before you export the file as CSV.
Export Transactions from Spenmo
In your Spenmo dashboard, you can export 4 types of data transactions using Jurnal CSV templates.
- Bank Statement
- Purchases
- Expenses
- Refund and Reversal
To make the most out of the exported CSV, we recommend inputting your Spenmo Bank Account Code. This account code is the one used for your Spenmo Bank Account and can be found under the ‘Cash & Bank’ page inside Jurnal.
Note: For Purchases, you will need to input the Product information in the CSV manually before it can be uploaded to Jurnal.
